NC Governor Roy Cooper’s Executive Orders temporarily waives the licensure requirements for behavioral health care personnel who are licensed in another state to provide services within North Carolina. An LMFT licensed in another state may practice MFT in NC (either through electronic means or in person) to individuals located in North Carolina upon registration and acceptance of the registration by the NC MFT Licensure Board.
